Chapter 1
Hailey stared out her windshield, smiling when the two-story cabin came into view. Our destined love shack, she thought with satisfaction. She parked her cherry red mustang SVT cobra as close to the cabin as she could.
She braced herself for what was to come as she eyed it, feeling herself smile again. She had been after Flow for years and now this day she was going to have him. She turned the rear view mirror so she could check it makeup. It’s about time, she mentally snapped. It was perfect; she was perfect.
The air was cool as she walked to the door. It was a nice change from the summer heat. She balled her delicate hand and knocked on the thick wooded door. Pushing her hair back she nervously waited. Her brows frowned as no one answered. She knocked again, a little louder. No answered.
“What,” she whispered, feeling herself getting mad. “Where is he?”
To her left was a window. She leaned over and looked in. Her anger disappeared when she saw the romantic fire and heard the soft music. He’s probably getting wine, or something. She mentally laughed, feeling silly for getting so anger so fast. Back at the door her eyes fell to the knob. I wonder, she thought as she turned the knob. It was unlocked. Her full lips curved as she pushed it open.
“Flow, I’m here.” She dropped the only bag she brought in, her purse. It was filled with wallet, lipstick and the all-important condoms. She eyed the fire as she walked further into the room. The heat was a little much for the cool weather. She rotated on her heels to find Flow leaning against the wall in the hall that led to the back of the cabin. His wavy hair pushed back made her smile. I’m going to run my fingers through that, she promised herself. “I’m here.”
“I can see that.”
Her hips slid right to left as she glided towards him. “Love what you’ve done with the place,” she slowly eyed the room, trying to not to show him too much interest. A man’s ego shouldn’t be too big. “It’s very,” her smoky eyes found his face. “Romantic.”
Flow’s eyebrows rose as he looked around the room, seeming to take it in for the first time. “It’s all right.” With his shoulders he pushed himself off the wall, side stepping her to get to the table with candles on it. He picked a vanilla one up, half turning to show it to her. “Did you see the candles?”
Her lips curved in hungry amusement. “Why, yes I did.” Her face sobered as her eyes narrowed. Time to be serious, she told herself. “You know Flow I’m glad to see that you’re finally coming to your senses.” Her hand caressed the old classy couch as she inspected the room with hard eyes. His family’s taste showed here. Flow looked down as he pulled out a fat joint. “I mean you come from a very powerful family, but instead of going to elegant places and having the right kind of friends. You chose to hang out with riff raft.” She had always hated his lowly friends.
He dug deeper in his pockets and found nothing. He circled in his little spot, seeing if he had dropped his lighter. Left, right, it was nowhere. Where did I put it, he wondered. He wanted the weed in his system already.
“But after this,” she motioned cockily to the room. “I can see that’s all going to change.” Her face beamed with pride as she turned to face him, needing to admire him with her eyes. The smile dropped from her lips as her features darkened. He was lighting a joint, a fucking joint, with the vanilla candle. “What are you doing,” her voice was cold and sharp as a dagger.
Flow embarrassingly smiled at being caught. “Thought you’d like this,” he Held the candle out the to her. “Elegant remember?”
“Elegant, ha!” Ash shouts from above as he leaned over the rail. He stood up straight and joined the rest of the group to go downstairs.
Whispers and laughter filled Hailey’s ears as she stared in horror at the descending group. Innocence sweetly smiled at her. “Hi Hailey. Are you staying too?”
Julian’s lids lowered. “Exactly,” he hissed.

Whispers and laughter filled Hailey’s ears as she stared in horror at the descending group. Innocence sweetly smiled at her. “Hi Hailey. Are you staying too?”
She kept her face under control, she wouldn’t let her anger show. She wouldn’t. “Too? You mean all of you are staying as well?” Keep your eyes straight, she told herself. If you don’t see them then perhaps they’re not real.
“Damn right that’s what she means. So are staying or not,” Nikia demanded, as she placed her hands on her slim hips.
She pushed her chin out. “Of course I am. I took a weekend off for this.” She looked at Flow. “Though I was expecting something else.”
Flow felt more relaxed since he had some weed. His head cocked to the side when he saw her small handbag. “Hailey, I find it hard to believe you only brought that one little bag for the weekend.” His lips curve in amusement. “Unless you don’t plan on wearing very much.” He laid his hand to his chest. “Which I personally have no problem with.”
Her lids lowered as she shot him the dirtiest look she could. “You wish. My bags are outside in my car.” She looked over the group, spotting the small black hair boy. “You.” His finger rose to confirm it was him that she called. “Yes you,” she rolled her eyes. “Go get my bags.”
An expression of false confusion appeared on Julian’s face as he looked around the room. “Do I look like a bell boy? No I don’t.” Anger swayed his neck from side to side. “You want to know why, because this isn’t the holiday inn; that’s why. So why don’t you go out and get your own damn bags.” He crossed his arms as he fell back on the couch.
Her eyes widened with disbelief. How dare he, she thought in outrage. She took a step towards him. Her chest rose as her anger lit up inside of her. Her mouth opened to release it.
“I’ll go get them,” Ash offered. Blushing under her heated gaze. “It’s no problem,” he whispered the truth. He really didn’t mind, as long there were no fights.
Hailey raised her head to look down on the little Goth sitting before her. “Good.” Her lips curved at the disgust she saw in Julian’s eyes. He will learn his place, she was sure of it. “Take them to my room.” She turned on her heels, not caring for the looks she was getting as she walked up stairs to choose her room.
Like an obedient puppy Ash rushed outside to get her bags, not thinking for a second it’d be more than one. It was just a weekend visit, two days and three nights. His shoulders fell when he saw it was three bags that awaited him in her car. “Great,” he mumbled.
Nikia looked at Flow with a stern face. “Why did you invite her again?”
Julian’s shoulders hunched as he stared into the flames, pouting. The world faded as he envisioned Hailey’s smug face again. “She’s going to try and make us into her little soldiers. Get this, do that.” He tossed his hands into the air as his face pinched with distaste. “This weekend is looking worse and worse.”
Innocence’s eyes slid from her unhappy friend to the relaxing Flow; who now was stretched out in his comforted seat. “Yeah, I don’t want to be mean but she really is going to ruin this weekend.” Worried crept into her features.
Flow smiled at sweet Innocence, looking at her full, not been touched this day, breasts. “Don’t sweat it. We’ll all going to have fun. Hell, even she might,” he laughed.
Bay stood next to the counter and ate a bag of chips. They were his favorite. The girls had actually brought a lot of his favorite foods; creamy Mac, herb chicken, garlic potatoes, just a lot of great food. “I don’t care what happens as long as she doesn’t eat all the food.” He shoved some more chips in his mouth.
Nikia’s brows met. “We have enough food to feed a small army.”
“I know, she better not eat it all.”
Nikia rolled her as she shook her head. Jocks, she thought with pity. The door banged open as Ash struggled through the door with three bags. Her eyes narrowed. “Why did she bring so many bags? Does she need an outfit for every hour or what?”
Ash dropped the bags in the living room. “There,” he said, grateful for the release from the weight of them. His poor body didn’t want to carry them much further.
“Most likely, it’s Hailey, remember.” Julian sourly eyed the bags. Bringing that many was ridiculous to him. His lone bag was upstairs, waiting, untouched, in his room.
“I hope you don’t think you’re done,” Hailey said from upstairs. Ash looked down at the bags. He was done. “I said to bring them to my room, not just into the house.” She pushed herself off the rail. “So do hurry. If my clothes stay in the suitcase too long they’ll wrinkle.” With her head high she turned, knowing he’d follow. It was his place to.
Julian sat up, eyes, pleading with Ash. “Don’t do it man, don’t be her soldier. If we stick together she won’t be able to affect us.”
Ash rolled his eyes as he lifted the bags. “Calm down Julian, this isn’t the devil or some demon you’re talking about, it’s Hailey.”With a strong back he made his way up the stairs.
Julian’s lids lowered. “Exactly,” he hissed.
